Thank you, Salix, I'm cured!

Post by Agent86 »

Greetings,

I very nearly entered a 12-step program to try to deal with my OS addiction, but found you in the nick of time (thanks to Techie Moe). Salix is my 11th Linux distro (not counting remixes) and I think it's a keeper! (In fact, it's been ages since I even registered for a forum, let alone posted).

Having admitted to that, I'll also admit to being WAY closer to a newbie than a power user. I'm currently a gui guy looking forward to diving (probably more like wading) into the terminal.

Thank you, Salix(ers?)!!

+1

The reason why I like Salix so much is that it's somewhere between, say, Ubuntu and Arch. I get the basic functionality with e.g USB-automounting OOTB but it's still KISS without forcing stuff that I don't use, like avahi on me.
