I've been looking for a distro to replace Debian with systemd.
Anything based on debian/kde/gnome is out!
Tried slackware 14.1 but it didn't come with slapt-get, slackbuilds put me to sleep.
Absolute Linux based on slackware 14.1 (current) doesn't come with nano nor you can install it from the repos, more taliban than the original slack.
Vector (slackware) has NOT been tried.
Salix 14.1 with Fluxbox is fast and easy to install (5 minutes). Comes with slapt-get, gslapt. sourcery for slackbuilds, and last but not least: spi which installs binary packages and slackbuilds. The repos are fairly fast.
I installed icewm, jwm (my favorite),xfe, and menumaker...no sweat, even for a slow sexagenarian like yours truly. Comes with alsa, firefox, just right down my alley, etc.
Best of the slackware bunch, IMHO.

Re: Still looking...
I don't have have systemd in this.
Hmm. Not sure if Dragora Linux uses SystemD or not. Prabably does not use systemd is my best guess. I know Slax does not. Puppy Linux does not. Slitaz? Probably not.
Lots of choices really. MLED Slackware. Just to name a few.
Edit: Been a long time since I ran Zenwalk but I can bet ya they don't use systemd either.
Code: Select all
$ inxi -S
System: Host: scuzbucket Kernel: 3.19.1-antix.1-486-smp i686 (32 bit)
Desktop: IceWM 1.3.8
Distro: antiX-14-a5-RV_386-full Killah_P 14 January 2015
