Hi,
I replaced my mageia installation on my laptop with Salix XFCE 14.1 and configuring it to my liking.
I replaced WiCd with Network Manager as NM has an option to connect to VPN directly from it. However, I have an issue with the Network Manager. When I click on Network Manager icon in tray, it is showing up the available wifi connections with out any issues. When I click on a WiFi network to connect to it, I get a message saying "The network connection has been disconnected" instead of asking for the WiFi security key to connect to it. The only option for me to connect to a WiFi network with NM is to right click on the tray icon, select the WiFi network, click on Edit Connection and manually set it up with the WiFi security key and then the NM connects to the WiFi network automatically.
Can some one help me as to how to resolve this issue. I want NM to directly ask for the WiFi security key when I click on a WiFi network by left clicking the NM applet in tray.
Thanks,
Balaji.

Hi,
Appears to be a simple fix as per the Arch Wiki.
Had to install gnome-keyring package and now it is working fine.
