There are too many problems with Salix 14.1 ISO (Xfce).
1. It appears that the package gsettings-desktop-schemas is not installed properly (for Liferea to work, gsettings-desktop-schemas must be reinstalled).
2. Misconfiguration of locale. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?p=35786
3. Desktop launchers, as they currently set up, might scare new users. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6025
4. dconf is not installed. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6034
5. It is not possible to use Salix xfce RC2 as a package repository. See http://forum.salixos.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6620
Release Salix 14.1.1, similarly like Salix 13.0.1, 13.1.1 and 13.1.2

Re: Release a fixed ISO for Salix 14.1
Zachary,
Cannot comment on the problems you reported since they do not exist on the 14.1 Fluxbox iso, however, probably better to wait for the next big release after Slackware 15.0 etc... The things you mentioned can easily fixed post install anyway.
You could also use the Fluxbox iso and add Xfce post install.

Re: Release a fixed ISO for Salix 14.1
It would, probably, take some moths for Salix 15 after Slackware 15 is released.
(invalid) 6. BASIC install is flawed. Neither Printer nor Scanner is working at all. (invalid)

Re: Release a fixed ISO for Salix 14.1
Do you have room for the full install? Or just experimenting with the basic?
Re: Release a fixed ISO for Salix 14.1
I have room for FULL install, but I wanted to try out BASIC, for once.
