Sometimes, not always, my computer crashes when I run firefo

Hi,

Sometimes, not always, my computer crashes when I run firefox or libreoffice.

My OS is Salix14.1.

I apoligize about my English, my first language is Spanish.

What video drivers are you using? If you're using the open source driver, try the proprietary driver from nvidia.

Thank you for your answer.

I'm trying to install propietary driver from nvidia (nvidia-driver version 352.63) but I get the following error:

install the kernel-source

Thank you for yout answer.

I've installed kernel-source, as you wrote. OK
And when I tryed to install nvidia-driver I got the following error:
nvidia-xconfig-352.63/common-utils/gen-manpage-opts-helper.h
tar: /usr/src/slapt-src/system/nvidia-driver/nvidia-modprobe-352.63.tar.bz2: No se puede open: No existe el fichero o el directorio
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
fakeroot -- sh nvidia-driver.SlackBuild Error

I did what you wrote, I'm trying it. I think I'ts OK.

I installed the driver NVIDIA-Linux-X86-304.131.run.
I got the instructions from: https://docs.salixos.org/wiki/How_to_In ... DIA_driver
I got the driver from: http://la.nvidia.com/download/driverRes ... x/95179/la
The following link http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us is atool to search the drivers.
