Mate weather applet issue [Solved]

What is the problem with the applet right now exactly? I just added it and it works fine.

Maybe it is not polite to answer a question with another question, but what have you added exactly?
The problem is that it is not possible to configure (i.e. to give any city) through the tiny icon in the panel.

I added the weather applet by right clicking on the panel and then selecting the weather applet from the list. At this point the applet just shows "0°F" because it's not configured yet. Right click on it and 3rd option down is Preferences. Second tab on the window that opens is Location. Select the one from the list and it works.

Some days ago, the mate-weather-applet did not run, because it was not possible to configure city's name and now, without any change I am aware of, it works well!!!
