I just saw this: https://blog.salixos.org/post/preparing-for-15.0/
VERY good news!
Any ETA on 15.0 at this point? And does 14.2 still get updates?
Looking forward to 15.0

Re: Looking forward to 15.0
As there is no ETA for Slackware 15.0 I assume that there can't exist one for Salix 15.0.
For your other question, read http://slackware.uk/salix/x86_64/14.2/ChangeLog.txt

Re: Looking forward to 15.0
If it is possible to get Salix-15.0 iso before release for testing?
Re: Looking forward to 15.0
Yes, there will be an alpha release, followed by at least one beta release and at least one RC release before the final one. Working on it...
Re: Looking forward to 15.0
I am reeeeeeally looking forward to this! Thanks so much for the very careful and very detailed work you're doing on this distro.

Now that Slackware has adopted PAM in 15.0 this should be a simple decision. You (gapan) mentioned in your blog post loooong ago that the primary reason for not going with LightDM was its dependency on PAM and PAM at the time of writing that post wasn't part of Slackware.

Quite honestly, LightDM will be a great (the best?) option for Salix's flagship XFCE variant. It has all the bells and whistles plus a nice GUI to customize most aspects of LightDM.

And since this is a Salix pub here is a something interesting from down-memory-lane for gapan,

Good luck with the coming release.

Yes, that's what I'm leaning to...hakerdefo wrote: ↑6. Feb 2022, 19:16 Now that Slackware has adopted PAM in 15.0 this should be a simple decision.
