Still no luck with Intel N450 on my Apsire One so I'll have to settle for a fullscreen virtualbox on this machine for now

Hmm... --dist-upgrade. Not really a good idea. It installs everything in /a, even if you don't really need it. One problem is that it installed the slackware pkgtools, on top of our own spkg-pkgtools. They still work of course, but a lot slower.
omns, you didn't notice the package icon in your system tray in your previous screenshots? Clicking on it would have launched a proper update.
