Some more information in the README also pasted below:
his directory contains two iso images allowing to install Slint:
slint64-15.0-5.iso is old, which can cause issues after system update.
slint64-15.0-6beta.iso needs testing, then it will supersede the old one.
It includes updated and new packages, and allows to install either a minimum
or "core" system including command line application but no desktop or window
manager, or a "full" system including the i3 window manager and the MATE
desktop with many graphical applications.
Other applications and desktops can be added to a "full" system.
Both core and full systems include network manager and are accessible with
speech ("core" only includes espeakup) and braille.
Currently the installer of the beta ISO only allows to install packages from
the ISO, not to fetch more recent ones from remote repositories. In the stable
version of this ISO we intend to use slapt-get during installation to do that
but this remains to be done. Link to the beta ISO:

I suggest to not use a "core" system in production yet, however testers are
welcome. Both can be updated using slapt-get.
Note for testers: do not run "slapt-get --install-set slint", that would
install a lot of packages you should not need.
The bugs found installing Slint the beta ISO and using it should be reported
to our mailing list, then I write reports and fixes in the BUGS document in
this directory:

When reporting a bug please tell if you made a 'full' or a 'core' installation.

PS:
Installing a 'core' system currently fails because of missing packages in
the ISO. I will provide a beta2 with a fix soon.
