Change the kernel of Salixlive64-15.0 in order to boot on newer hardware

I have been trying to change the kernel of the live iso with no success. I have no knowledge that's why I do not know what I am doing. I would like to ask those who know what to do and how to do it to help me step by step. I have the isomaster installed but I need to know which file to download and where to put it and also what to delete from the iso. I would appreciate a detailed guidance. Thank you.
