hi to all
I would like to use salix 13.1 on my laptop.
install went fine, but I am unable to connect to a hidden wlan.
I searched a bit through the internet, but without luck.
what do I have to do that Wicd will find the network that I specify when I click
(Menu) Network -> Find a hidden Network
?

Have you loaded the module for your wlan receiver chip? Can you see any (visible or open) network available with wicd? Normally, wicd does find all (also hidden) wifi networks ...

I see (saw) all visible wlans, so I thougth driver was ok
but after doing modprobe iwlang by hand, and restarting rc.wicd
I also see the hiddeon one an can connect.

Just a note: Hidden WLANs don't provide any extra security, so if it is your own you just can unhide it
