How long will Salix releases be supported?

Post by passthejoe »

In so much as Slackware releases seem to be supported with bug fixes for what seems like forever, what is the policy/plan for Salix?

How long will each release be available on the mirrors, and how long will those releases receive bug fixes?

We want to support our software that is shipped with the iso as long as Slackware does. And furthermore: most of security related software are Slackware packages anyway.

Correction, that should be "all our software", not only the ones in the iso.

But we probably won't have enough maintainers for the whole repo. So all the work has to be done by you and me
