would it be possible for you guys to add visual boy to the repo or vba-m i think the newest blend is called,
i believe this is their homepage:

i've got some old pokemon roms on a stick somewhere, sad i know but they are good to use to take a break from it all

You can run the executable from the untarred archive directly. No need for a special package.

I can not say if there are any important dependencies to fullfil.

Have you also tried mednafen package (in the repository) from gapan?

no, im afraid i haven't but will do now.

it plays them but i cant control the games etc, only ever used vba in the past so this madnafen is a bit o a mystery to me, lol

Unfortunately mednafen hasn't got its online documentation updated for a while.

You should try mfe, the mednafen frontend:
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.1/games/mfe/

Don't worry as I'll probably have a package for it soon. ;)

Oh, not the one from the Salix repo yet.

edit: now I see that you've bundled mfe with it :P
