Re: Full screen video performance/lags

Post by loukingjr »

thanks but the guest additions are installed in both LXDE and XFCE. all the features work just fine,. it's just whenever I try and run a video in full screen mode in the guest, it bogs down. was another thread here about someone having the same issue running Neverball in Salix natively.
there are three kinds of people in the world. those that can count, and those that can't.

what's odd about this is I can play a video in Whaaw! and make it any size I want and it's fine, but if I make it full screen... it bogs down also

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you should probably execute those commands on the host system - not in the VBox machine.

So you have to report that bug upstream to the developers of the Mac version. Have you tried Parallels instead of VBox, it should probably work much better on a Mac.
But that is out of scope here and really offtopic???

well, not sure it's a bug... I have 15 Linux guests running in Vbox, and have had more. Salix is the only one with this problem so far. but thanks.
