Tint2 is an awesome panel alternative to native fluxbox panelYou may want to try it?

Thanks for this tip.
I just don't like fluxbox panel, it look a bit XX century, where tint2 is more XXI

To be honest I don't use panels. Simply don't need them.
This fluxbox edition is awesome! (htop -> 60 MB of RAM in VB, and 120 with youtube running

I have 1 question, is it possible that developers could create a side iso also img image ?

Dear Salix OS Fluxbox edition developers
Please consider (very deeply) to make two default menu files inside the ~/.fluxbox directory
menu (default)Use a different message (the message above is only an example)
I'm using the 'other' Fluxbox menu from the my_menu file
New GNU/Linux users who use Salix OS Fluxbox edition will get so mad if they'll accidentally erase their personal menu if they'll click twice on the "generate_menu for Fluxbox" bash script by Dung N. Lam & Han Boetes.
Please consider (very deeply) to make two default menu files inside the ~/.fluxbox directory
menu (default)
Code: Select all
# This is a simple menu with an 'include' entry to avoid from new Fluxbox users to erase their customized menu with commands: <command1> <command2> <etc.>
#
[begin] (fluxbox) {} <>
[include] (~/.fluxbox/my_menu) {} <>
[end]
I'm using the 'other' Fluxbox menu from the my_menu file
Code: Select all
[submenu] (fluxbox-menu) {etc/x11/fluxbox} <>
[include] (/usr/share/fluxbox/menu) {} <>
[end]
Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun
We know Tint2 , he's cute, but is not native for fluxbox. We can talk about Tint2 for the next release, but in this will not be included.
meanpt you can set the resolution in xorg.conf, if there is no need to create it.
Zachary I think a menu is enough.

Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun
1) Please backup your ~/.fluxbox directoryKerd wrote:Zachary I think a menu is enough.
2) Enter the command:
Code: Select all
$ fluxbox-generate_menu
Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun
Of course I know (I know well fluxbox and I know how work fluxbox-generate_menu), but I think user must be a backup before running fluxbox-generate_menu.
Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun
But what if the user is drunk, searching for new commands by pressing on the 'Tab' key and playing Russian roulette?

Re: Salix Fluxbox edition development has begun
zAchAry aren't our problem if the user launch commands at random, he can always make the menu by hand as we did.
klanger for now we create only a ISO image. As you have seen the other versions only have an ISO image.
