If you are talking about a Bonsai 'seed fund' ;) ...and developers always contribute with 'cuttings' so it pans out...but i agree its always nice to get something for free,and just feel a little pang of guilt for doing so,and there are many candidates for appreciation in the Linux/Unix world.I find with most developers their reward is bringing a project to a successful fruition,the whole thing is like juggling plates at the best of times..(firmware,kernel faults,incompatabilities,etc)..they know when they done good ...its numbered in the amount of coffee jars they put in the bottle banks ;)
With regards to Salix..have you considered applying for agricultural subsides from EU or IMF :lol:

Great idea. I've nver contributed financially to a distro but if ever I was going to it would be salix.
