I guess some comments are worth ignoring, while some others are worth expanding on (I just did).
I know the LILO install setup sequence failing to recognize multiboot system correctly irritated me profusely in the past which is why I worked on LiloSetup in the same time as Salix Live Installer.
Of course, LiloSetup is coming a bit late to someone that used the regular installer. We should take a look at liloconfig and try to fix that issue once and for all one of this days. (I added it on my ToDo list but anyone else is welcome to beat me to it

).

Nice review Caitlyn
Edit: About comments for your DW review and salix. Even if some worth a laugh. The review is very good and because salix is a very good distro that's why readers spent time to write so many comments (positive and negative) about it. If something does not worth no one pays attention to it. Just my thoughts

Nice review

As you said, it's not in the Wiki and I
knew where to get the firmware at Slackbuilds.org from my past experience with both Slackware and SalixOS. So... I'm guilty of going to a known good source. Getting from the existing system saves one download but does not change the methodology I used. I don't think you've poked a hole in my review but rather gave another variation on doing precisely the same thing

Variety is the spice of life

.
This has got me thinking though. SBo caters for two out of the three firmware packages that I provide scripts for so I might just add the missing one to our slapt-src repository next time round.

Anyone who has run zenwalk, Vector or Salix has seen that rant before. It doesn't even change much with time.....
The review was well worth reading.

Finally got a chance to read the review..
LOL, CAI ENG
Yep, that succinctly sums up that guy.. the comment kind of reminded me of a Lewis Carroll poem..jabbawocky..
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought--
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
Little sense in rebutting someone like that as I doubt if he knows what he said..
Anyway, really good work Caitlyn. I like it. The tone and the flow makes the review an enjoyable read.
I think many, after reading the review, would be compelled to give Salix a spin.. {Thumbs Up}
