A good starting point in order to find distros (in general) is distrowatch.com.

Vector Linux
Quite a lovely distro, I tried it around 2005. It was quite snappy on an old Athlon 900 Mhz, 320 Mb RAM system. When I decided recently that I wanted some slackware derivative again to bring some life onto an old 2.8 ghz pentium D, I thought inmediately of it. In the process, I found Salix in some forum and the rest is history!

I haven't looked in on them recently but SLAX, www dot slax dot org , (If I remember correctly) was the first to support 64bit processors. I seem to remember a slax64 variant.

Wolvix was quite appealing for me also; too bad it went defunct recently. As you say, it has a very sharp-looking design. Another plus is you can boot & run it from ISO with grub2 shell commands.
