I think you solved it yourself. And the fact that the original problem stays in the thread will be useful for other forgetful folks (such as myself) that might encounter the same problem one day.
So IMO a simple [Solved] would fit perfectly, no need for extra complication.

Clearly the main initial issue isn't relevant anymore in this topic, and the "second issue" (solved, not solved, that's the question) is already "too long". But, since the second question might present itself again in the future, please forgive me for adding my comment anyway.
@Tim CowChip
For other users, your "eureka" (or whatever else) means nothing specific. Someone comes to the forum and reads "eureka"; why would that someone have the same interpretation of that "tag" as the meaning you are/were trying to give to it?
The main issue is "solved". Whether you remembered the solution, or someone else posted it, it's irrelevant to the "tag" in the title.
So, what's the importance or relevance of adding "solved"? Let's think about the different types of relevant readers.
A_ Someone having a similar problem looking for a solution. This user finds a topic tagged "solved". Is the solution present in there? Does this user need to keep looking for the solution elsewhere?
B_ Someone reads the title of the topic and thinks (s)he may help. If it is tagged "solved", then the limited time available might be more useful elsewhere. Reading the topic becomes a lower priority.
C_ Curiosity, whether it's about the initial problem, and/or the solution. Moreover, a developer might want to find out what was the problem, how users interpreted it, what methods were tried, and the effective solution, so to improve a certain aspect of the software for a future release.
So, with other readers in mind, adding "solved" where appropriate is helpful. If you want to classify the "solved" tag into subcategories ("I remembered", "thanks to a certain general user", "thanks to a specific high-level user", “never mind”,...), I don't think that the title of the topic is the adequate place, simply because a subcategory of "solved" doesn't add anything useful nor helpful when written specifically in the title of the topic, and it might even worsen it. After all, you want the title to be clear and helpful. The content of the topic itself is more adequate for such subcategory, and in most cases, self-evident.
Hopefully, this long post will help you with the question.

Thank you Adys for a very thoughtful response. I was seeing things through the eyes of a user searching for answers and didn't consider that developers would have an interest in solutions to problems that they themselves may not have, but might make code changes to prevent users from having them.
