just a follow up. I managed to re-download the beta1 .iso and tried to replace the directory. unfortunately I couldn't modify the original .iso's and tried copying all the files to a new folder then creating an .iso from that using AnyToIso but it balked trying to open the files for read access.

hmmm, the installer doesn't work for me in VirtualBox.

This seems to be a problem specific to virtualbox for some reason. And very specific versions of virtualbox too. I have version 4.1.18 and it works fine. Also isos works fine in real PCs and also under qemu too.

well, I assumed it would work fine on Metal :D I am using VB 4.2.2 and have already added GA's to all my current guests. I guess I will fiddle with it.

a couple things, I mentioned this in the beta1 thread but for some reason Pidgin will not connect. Everything else does. The other thing was, now that Sourcery is pointing to Slackware 14 packages I assume, anyone have any idea why Conky would require Audacious as a dependency?
