If it works with ssh, it works with sshfs.

here's the output when I use the option 'debug'

ron[~]$ sshfs ron@nas:/Backup/ /drives/Nas_Backup/ -o debug

ron@nas's password:
sh: /usr/libexec/sftp-server: not found
remote host has disconnected

It seems that your nas doesn't support sftp...
