Ok... New observasjon: when I made the new user it worked. But when I deleted the old user and rebooted, the same problem (in mocp) reappeared in the new user! I have not added a user group at all, only a user.

Did you transfer any files from the old user to the new?

No I did not. And still it seems to work as root. Let me know if an output from any command would be helpful.

Can you try to reboot and try it again as soon as you enter ratpoison before you do anything else?

I have released RC1 as final.

If you already have RC1, you don't need to download the final release, it's exactly the same.
