No, thanks for asking. (I had already tried restarting, echo, etc.) Any tips on what you did?Atip wrote:Tharpa have you skype 4.3* working now?

I got mine.
I had already done everything you said, but it didn't help. Thanks anyway.Atip wrote:Here we go:
Install pavucontro. You find it in sourcery. If it asks for a missing lib it is in gslapt.
After installation in skype-options-Sound Devices there is then a small window
saying: Open Pulse Audio Volume Control.
Click on it and pavucontrol opens in Output Devices.
I set mine to Headphones (unplugged) and volume control to 100 %
In Inut Devices I set to Front Microphone (unplugged).
In Configuration I have Analog Stereo Duplex.
This works now for me. You might have to make some changes for your architechture.
Good luck!
I found a possible solution that I'd like to try http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... page9.html, but I'd need to know how to downgrade Skype on my computer. Is doing a downgrade of a software difficult?Atip wrote:This new skype is more than a pain in the neck. It is absolutely horrid.
When I think I have the settings going the next time it does not work.
Neither in nor out.
Then it does again work but only out, then not again, then it works,
it depends on the direction of the prevailing winds I think.![]()

Fluck Microsoft.
You downgrade a package exactly the same way as you upgrade it. So, no.tharpa wrote:I found a possible solution that I'd like to try http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... page9.html, but I'd need to know how to downgrade Skype on my computer. Is doing a downgrade of a software difficult?
