I think you are right...

I love Chromium and it only works perfectly with Flash if I have Salix/Slackware on my laptop. I had problems with it when I was running sidux and Mint. Arch was ok but the distro is not very stable in my opinion.

Regarding Arch, I had problems with Wicd and several libraries...it sucks to have an unstable environment.

Stability is key in any business and same principle applies to software in this case operating system. There nothing out there that I hate the most than working in an unstable environment. I like to keep things very "simple" and always think about stability. The hardest part is to make sure which files are going to be modified. Slackware offers the best stability that I have seen so far.
