did all your advices, but now it's worse...

when doing

ping 1.1.1.1 ---> network not reachable
ping salix.org ---> network not reachable
ping ddg.gg - --> network not rechable

but

ping archlinux.org -->packets transmitted, 0% loss
ping google.com -->packets transmitted........
.

think I'll forget about salix

Wait, did you do a BASIC mode installation? Tools for wireless connections are only included in FULL mode.

did a last try on another laptop, with a wifi card intel 3165
also took a greek mirror instead of the one from UK

same procedure and same issue

so it's not a reason of my hardware definitively

seems to be a bug in the salix OS
