Yes it does work.


You need to install gobject-introspection and gtk+3 using slapt-get and build pygobject3 and webkitgtk3 using slapt-src. Also, ppub would crash when I clicked on File => Open. Googling the error I found that doing the following in a terminal as root fixed the problem

root[rich]# glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas

I running on a 64 bit machine so the package that I built for webkitgtk3 wouldn't do you any good. As mimosa said, let it build over night.
