There are some things that don't work - for example the "No application is registered as handling this file" problem mentioned before, and I don't know how to fix it, neither do I know how to edit the default desktop 'format' - I had to manually add the bottom panel and all the applets to post that picture.
Can you guys do the rest of the job?
edit - somehow the Nautilus "No application is registered as handling this file" problem was fixed.
edit 2 - so, GNOME 3 was released. Does anybody have a clue on how to build it?
