I edited ~/.fluxbox/startup and changed the "fbsetbg" line to point to my new wallpaper.
When I log in, I see my new wallpaper for a couple of seconds, then it automatically switches back to the Salix default wallpaper. Suggestions?
Edit your ~/.fluxbox/init, find the line with session.screen0.rootCommand and change it to:

Code: Select all

session.screen0.rootCommand:    fbsetbg -l
this will be fixed in next versions.

We're getting very close to a final release! Here's an RC1 image:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/salix/f ... o/download
(md5: 5cb4af0c7141aea2d53cb908ace3f481, size: 566MB)

This one should have all issues found in previous versions fixed. Please give it a good round of testing. If no problems with it will be found, it will be released as a final version in a few days, together with a 64bit version.

I know it's late in the day to be making suggestions but clipboard-daemon is much less memory hungry than ParcelLite.
