I installed Chrome from http://darkstar.ist.utl.pt/slackware/ad ... 5.0.342.7/ and it works like a charm. You have to install seamonkey-solibs from Salix repository by using Gslapt if you want. I have not had any problem with Chrome so far.
But if you want to stick with Firefox, check this one out which is the real Chrome competitor. It doesn't really offer true sandboxing like Chrome but is almost there.
