Have you tried entering something in the fields it provides you? You'll find that it's very clever in understanding what you're trying to do and it will even autocomplete all fields if you use the name of the application, or part of it, as used in the menus.

As a general rule, irregardless the OS, in order to open something with an application, the command to use is:

Code: Select all

application-name thing-to-open
The file manager used in xfce is called thunar. I think you can take it from there.

Ok here goes:
  • A - Right click on desktop to bring up menus
B- Clinching on "Create Launcher" brings up "Create Launcher" box
C - Filling as the the boxes as shown in "C". Since you want to have a "shortcut' to your download file you need to launch the filemanager thunar with a path to the "Download" directory. Also select a icon that you like. when your done filling all the boxes, click on create and you should get..
D- ...an icon on your desktop that will give you your "shortcut' to your download directory

Oracle911, you should really read the slackbook, to which I have already given you the link to. It explains everything you're having problems with.

Don't under estimate yourself. :) You just need to dig in a little deeper into the information that we are providing you. The answer to your keyboard question is right there, you just need to explore a little. Here:

Un-checked the "Use System Defaults then click on the "Add" button and look for your keyboard layout
I typed this: thunar sdc Záloha II/!Download/
Záloha II is the name of disk, and i don`t know what is wrong
sdc is not part of the directory path. Open a terminal and post the output of the command "mount".

Ok, but we still are going to need the output of the "mount' command.
