There you go, so the line you want to add to the Create Launcher dialog box is:
Code: Select all
thunar /media/Zalohsa II/Downlload
Although the space between Zalohsa and II may give you some problems
Both will fail, as space is used as separator in both cases. You've got a better chance to get it working by quoting the pathes containing spaces (e.g. "/my/sucking space/path").

The Salix community is much, much more tolerant of beginners (like me) than most. But remember, those who help us here are giving their time for free. So instead of posting
it might go down better if you researched the problem yourself first, and explained briefly what you tried and didn't work. Perhaps, for that problem you needed to know how the package manager works (Gslapt under System in the main menu, if you are not using the console), though it's possible that particular software might not be available for Salix. Or if it's not that important (I use Transmission, and there are probably better alternatives, but still, I'm a satisfied non-paying customer

) , just leave it. Really, I think Linux best suits people who are curious about how things on their computer work, because otherwise it's probably not worth the time you will need to invest. For a beginner like me, that's years, but even at this stage I like the feeling of not just being a passive and patronised victim of Microsoft.
The 1st thing i want to say:
thank you.
Before we are really going off topic i wanna say, i want replace these applications not just install them. Its because i`m not satisfied with them and they are not enough ergonomic in many ways. By the way in Windows XP i used uTorrent and IrfanView, which are both non-paying free open source programs.
In fact as i know myself i will make a fatal failure without exact instruction, after all i`m a chemist not IT specialist.

Irfanview is an graphic editor/viewer/browser. Ktorrent is on gslapt list but i don`t know how it install and replace without installation of KDE.
How can i un-install Konqeror, it seems like i accidentally install it?

First of all, Oracle911, you haven't pissed anyone off, don't worry. But some of the things you're asking about are too basic and you could have found the solution to them on your own with a google search.
And you're asking too many things at the same time, some of the things you're asking may go unanswered because of that.
If you don't like certain applications you can replace them with the ones you like. You're mentioning irfanview and utorrent as open source applications, which they are definitely not. You could try others like viewnior for an image viewer, which is the default for salix 13.1 anyway, or mirage, gthumb, comix...
You could also try deluge, flush, frostwire, qbittorrent ... as alternative bittorrent clients if you're not satisfied with transmission (altough I don't see why).
Installing any KDE application, including ktorrent, will install a full KDE environment with it. That's because of the way KDE is packaged in slackware. You can't do anything about it.

Sorry my bad, basically i`m using Salix OS`s as a main information source and in many case(like this) Google is useless.
By the way than how can i change/uninstall these default apps?
PS: Transmission is easily confusable and from my point of view nontransparent.

Hmmm... actually to make sure this doesn't change, you may want to:
1- (Again) search things a bit more thoroughly before asking the teacher...
2- When someone kindly answers, give it some attention.
