¡Hola!

Desde hace una semana no puedo imprimir con mi impresora HP. Intenté desinstalar y tampoco pude. Intenté añadirla en otros dos ordenadores portátiles, uno con xfce y otro con lxde y no pude. Parece un error del sistema.

What printer exactly?
Is it connected via USB? Please post output of "lsusb" then.

It really depends on the model of HP printer. I'm using a LaserJet 1020 and it requires the foo2zjs driver which is not included in or packaged for SalixOS. I downloaded the driver and firmware following the instructions at http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/ and it has worked flawlessly for me ever since.

When I visited my mom I was able to connect her OfficeJet to my netbook and it "just worked". Sorry, I don't remember the model offhand but I do know that SalixOS 13.1 supports it right out of the virtual box.

Absolute usa cups 1.4.4 mientras que Salix cups 1.4.3 ¿Implica esto que una actualización de este paquete en Salix me imprimir de nuevo?

La otra es que Absolute emplea además el paquete que Salix no usa system-config-printer, pero no creo que radique aquí la cuestión.

It could very well be that your printer is supported in cups 1.4.4 but not in 1.4.3. You can use the 1.4.4 version in salix, it's available in the repositories. But keep in mind that the 1.4.4 version will crash all mozilla apps when trying to print.
