First test release of SalixLive LXDE 13.1

Post by christian »

Hey Salixers!

I prepared a first test release of SalixLive LXDE. It provides the same software as the installable LXDE 13.1 system as well as the Salix Live Installer.

Please let me know any problems :-)

Iso: ftp://ftp.lupinix.org/linux/salix/salix ... 0%3A47.iso
Md5: ftp://ftp.lupinix.org/linux/salix/salix ... 47.iso.md5

Greetings

Just finished downloading it, I gave it a quick check in vbox.

Booting fine & quick. Everything seems to work fine.

One minor thing, I have two desktop icons for gparted & the persistence assistant.

I'll burn it on a CD-ROM & give it more real usage.

Great work! :)

It uses GDM, i will have a look at LXDM when it is an official part of Salix.

@Akuna:
I had the same issue with the two entries at the desktop, will have a look at this in the evening.

It appears my post on LXDE 13.1 has disappeared ...

Like LXDE 13.1 but prefer xfce.

Like especially the Midori Browser but maybe provide the latest version 0.2.7 which lets you have sqlite3 based bookmarks and other goodies.

No X mixer, except alsamixer. Would like to be able to use the xfce 'mixx' .

But nice work! Congratulations.

100% Agreed.

Where are the configuration entries (via the GUI menu) to Openbox stuff?
I've downloaded ~550MB and I feel really bad about it, I want to return some from my side... any Torrent! :?:

I have just downloaded and tested on an old computer.
it worked,
good job!!

my preference:
i used to look for pre-config network file sharing, so that i can simply find the LAN server and play movies/song etc. somehow i could not find which program that give me network share.
