Bulk Rename for audio tags

Good morrning from Italy,

First of all thanks to all the development team for this beatiful distro. Was looking for a responsive yet complete OS and Salix is tailor made to my home computing needs.
However I have a problem with the bulk rename of audio tags using Thunar. The function via GUI simply doesn't work, although the plugin for audio file renaming seems to have installed correctly.
Is there any other way I could fix the issue or is a base terminal command I can use for renaming the files (for me it is sufficient to replace the space with underscore)? I have tried to look for terminal commands on the web but having no particular skills on bash I get lost when I try to follow commands options.

Thanks a lot for support and keep the good work going.

Antonio

I'm using the Ex Falso tag editor, which is part of the quodlibet package. It even has a "Replace spaces with underscores" option, which seems to be exactly what you want. Others might prefer easytag, but I find its interface confusing to say the least.

Hello Gapan,

Many thanks for your quick reply. Installed quodlibet package, ex falso is doing exactly what I need.
Thanks again for the tip. Love this distro more and more.

Regards,
Antonio

Easytag is another great tag editor, with whom I've been quite happy so far.

Same here. The interface is a bit messy, but after getting used to it it's ok.
