I read this interesting article which shows how to make use of Google as a "napster-like" software.
I was looking up for the book 1984 by George Orwell and I've found this page EDIT
I don't want to use DownThemAll! but GNU Wget

I know that I need to tell to GNU Wget to download the whole page EDIT how can I make a list of the locations of the files?
After I do that, I'll copy the list to a text (.txt) file and enter:

Code: Select all

wget - indexed-files.txt
According to the Israeli intellectual property laws, it IS COMPLETELY LEGAL to download (leeching) any copyrighted material, but it illegal to upload (seeding), so I'm not doing anything illegal by downloading the files in question.

Code: Select all

etf[test]$ shell\ script.sh
./shell script.sh: line 19: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'
./shell script.sh: line 21: syntax error: unexpected end of file
etf[test]$

Does Israel will not follow the Bern convention ? I'm sure it is, so it is illegal to get some non-free (as in freedom) copyrighted material.

Everything that is copyrighted and was solely downloaded by the user from anywhere and anyone and the user who downloaded the content never uploaded it or copied it, then it is legal, the idea, as far as I understand (and which isn't really declared officially by the parliament, if you will) is to suppress p2p or to lower the copyright infringement numbers.

Most of the lectures of intellectual property law from the Haifa University will give the same answer.

offtopic  According to my law teacher (with is a danish lawyer also), it is the law of the destination country to which the language is dedicated. So if you - for example - create a page in swedish, but the server is in USA, then swedish law will be applied in general.

It seems so, yes. :(
Because the page is then intentionally dedicated to the american / english speaking market, but dunno how this works for personal / private sales. I know it only for sure in international B2B contracting issues. :?
But I could ask how this works with english as "the world language no.1".

Maybe I am wrong due to misunderstood something or totally confused now. But take a look to there.
