How to login?

Post by timatou »

Hi everyone!

I'm an ancient Zenwalk user and recently decide to test Salix.
So I download the LXDE edition live disc from here http://slackel.gr/isos/salix-lxde/salix ... 13.1.1.iso
I have burned the .iso and boot the CD without any probs but at a moment i have the login screen (GDM?) and i don't know what to do?
I know that the root password is "live" but i want to login in graphical mode.
What i'm suppose to do?

Ps: Sorry if my english is bad, i'm french ^^'

Edit: It's ok i just tip "one" as user login

Hi timatou & welcome to Salix :)

Normally it should autolog directly into the desktop, but I did notice that sometimes, on some machines, it does randomly requires gdm loggin.

BTW, your English is plenty good. ;)

damNageHack  Thanks for your help, even if i was already found it :P
I think someone should clearly indicate this somewhere like here: http://www.salixos.org/wiki/index.php?title=Download (just under the lines: (root password: live)

Akuna  it was not autolog on mines ;)
