I just got a Dell Dimension C521 desktop computer and I need to go wireless. What USB wireless device would you recommend me that Salix can recognize ? I have already Salix running on my laptop and would like to install it on this computer as well.
Thanks.

I'd recommend a WLAN bridge, that is connected by ethernet cable. It's independent of your operating system (no drivers needed) and probably has better connection quality (external antenna).

All I can tell you is that I use a ZyXel G-202 USB adapter it without problems. I got it bundled with my router so I can't comment on whether it an economical solution, but it worked out of the box.

Ralink and Atheros chips should work pretty much out of the box but some need firmware which you can find at
wireless.kernel.org.
If all else fails you can always use the Windows driver with NDISwrapper.
