How to change the default xv output in Parole?

anyone know how to change the output driver in Parole media player?

You don't change it in parole only. You change it for all gstreamer apps. Install the gnome-media package if you don't have it already and run gstreamer-properties.

hmmm, I did that and still get "can't 'initialise' Xv output" (twice),plus it breaks VLC if I change it to something other than Autodetect. I think I'll just stick with VLC seeing it works.

I saw similar issue when I installed Salix 13.1.1 64-bit version on AMD64 computer.

After successful installation, I install multi media codec, and I see that no media could be played using Parole, the message is can't 'initialise' Xv output

So I thought I did it wrong, I then update the everything. Still the same can't initialise Xv.

Then I installed VLC, luckily all my media playing worked perfectly with VLC.

In the past I do not have this can't initialise Xv output problem when I install various 32-bit version on a few computer.
