Trying to build encfs with the following command:
slapt-src -i encfs
but get the error message:
Failed to open slackbuilds_data for reading
Unable to find all specified slackbuilds.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you running it as root?

First thoughts
1) Are you doing as root?
2) Is encfs on the repos? Do a slapt-src --search encfs

yes, I ran the command as root. Same error even when I changed the source in slapt-srcrc to
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.1/.
I am not sure what is the functionality of the command but thought I could try to build a slackbuild of truecrypt, encfs for use in my installation of Salix64_13.1.2.

No I did not run slapt-src -u first. Slapt-src seems to work fine after I update the cache. Thanks for the help.
By the way, what are the default preferred mirror and official links for slapt-srcrc ?

The slackware.org.uk one in slaptsrcrc is the default.
