New user: Upgrading LXDE Appearance

Hi .. I just downloaded and installed the latest Salix LXDE and and most pleased. I`ve never used a slack distro before and it`s great. One thing I did was to add a Slackware repo so I could upgrade LXDE Appearance which allows you to customize and add themes in an easier way. One thing this upgrade does is remove openbox config from the menu and add Customize Look and Feel. It`s far superior. So far so good. No breakage as of yet. . Salix seems solid so far.

I think you got some things wrong. A slackware repository is already included by default, so there was no need to add another one. And you definitely can't find lxappearance in any slackware repository, but you can get it from the salix repository. It is also installed by default in the lxde edition, so no idea why you would want to install it again.

LXAppearance with OpenBox integration!!!
LXAppearance – OpenBox Integration is Finished!
LXAppearance becomes the most feature-rich Gnome-free gtk+ theme changer.
Get the .txz packages for testing from: [A-1348] Tux Paint 0.9.21, Fotoxx 10.11.1, LXDE Icon Theme 0.0.1... (via: Space_J (spacej))
I understand that this is a development release.
This is only a reminder
Maybe I missed 0.5 in the repos when I first checked. Maybe I`m stupid. Obviously it should have been there since there is a slack repo there.?? After reading your post I removed the slackware eu repo from the repos and I noticed now that it`s refreshed it only shows appearance 0.4. At any rate I have 0.5 installed and I`m happy. . Thanks for your time.

Well, wanting lxappearance and wanting lxappearance-
0.5.0 are two completely different things. And about that repository you added, which you're not even naming, please read this:
