hi
I try sakura terminal, it kind of works, but when i launch it, the cursor just blinks there and i don't have a command line prompt. It only comes when i hit an key from my keyboard. Ideas?

Nothing like that here. What is your $PS1 ?

I've got the same behaviour sometimes, but not only with Sakura. I don't know what causes it.

it is
export PS1='\u[\W]\$ '

No, that's fine, but there's probably something starting with your shell session that is causing this.
