I was about to ask if it can be included in the LXDE edition, but it has wxWidgets dependencies.

I could be used for every WM/DE. So it could be a global solution for our Salix flavours.
devilspie could be found in SBO with slapt-src.
gdevilspie is a simple python+glade app so doesn't require an installation (but I think a package could be better).
Here is my patch for gdevilspie (for making the python dictionnary to keep key order) :

Openbox already has this functionality built in, so an Openbox specific app may be better there
