I ask this as their does not seem to be many KDE queries on this forum
So i thought i'd mention mine.
Its very fast and surprisingly uses very little ram my conky is happy at around 200-250mb when idling. I used sbopkg to install skype, ms fonts, and gtk-kde4 to get matching themes, the later should be included in the setup as now the salix tools which are GTK? all match any theme. I replaced the media player with exaile and the video player with vlc as I play audio dvd 24/96- 24/192. I installed conky to auto-start and to use transparency with any wallpaper so now i've done some tweaks Salix is all go.
I think the work done by this team is second to none and as things mature Salix will be the flagship of slackware well done.
