Hi there, just wanted to introduce myself. Have been using Slackware-current for about a month after years of distro-hopping and mostly using Ubuntu and Debian. I bought a used Acer Aspire One with an 8GB SSD and found that Slackware (even without installing KDE) took up a LOT of space. I prefer XFCE to KDE and really like how the Salix OS team has put together a nice-looking, complete desktop (especially with Evince!). Well-done all around!
The only thing I've really had to do is replace Exaile with Audacious, but that's just a personal preference thing. Many of the things I'd added to Slackware via SlackBuilds are already in Salix by default (LibreOffice, Galculator, Transmission).
