Acer Aspire One

Post by T_Hobbit »

Hi

Looking for a fast and light OS for my AAO with SSD I just found a reference to Salix on Zenwalk forum. I just installed LXDE version and almost everything worked OOTB!
After install multimedia codecs, OS upgrade and Chese instalation seems that just some FN keys fail to work but didn't try to solve that problem still.

I would like to thank the Salix team for what seems to be a excellent work and to give my feedback about my working hardware.
Probably I found my Linux home. Miss not anymore a good and small Slack based Linux distro!

Best regards

Thank you all

My AAO is rocking! Now I need to start to solve minor bugs. Like right card reader not working and Fn keys.
Any sugestions? Maybe we can turn this thread into a "bugfix" for AAO

Hallo T_Hobbit,

may be the acer-wmi could be help you. Add it to the rc.modules and the Fn-Keys should work.
But on my Acer Extenssa 5220 it doesn't work.

May be the following link could be helpful.
