How to Install ATI Driver - Question

In this document it says to create the standard slackware package you issue the following command:
This is using the latest driver from AMD. Well with my video card, Radeon 9700, I can't use the latest driver as AMD removes old card drivers with each new release. I use version 9.3 (or something similar - guessing as I am at work currently) and there isn't a Slackware/Slackware builldpkg option. Is there another way to install this driver?

# sh ati-driver-installer-<release>-<architecture>.run --buildpkg Slackware/Slackware
