Latest Firefox crashes : Salix vs. Slackware

Hi,

I've installed Salix OS on a couple of sandbox machines I use for training. Curiously enough, Firefox crashes almost instantly on startup. And yes, I duly slapt-get --upgraded to the latest available version. On the same machine with a Slackware system (I have a Ghost4Linux server with a dozen different distros for all machines here), Firefox runs just nice.

What's going on here? Is it a completely different build ?

Try with a clean firefox profile. Probably one or more of your plugins are acting up.

This happened on a fresh install, everything vanilla, no plugins added. :?

Still, try with a clean firefox profile. There is nothing wrong with the salix packages.
