chromium 32 & 64bits latest build

Post by fredg »

Hi,

For those who want to play with last chromium, here is an easy way of doing it:

1° Install the deps:

Code: Select all

# slapt-get -i GConf ORBit2 google-chrome-pam-solibs seamonkey-solibs
2° Download the last build
32bits: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com ... ath=Linux/
64bits: http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com ... Linux_x64/

Unzip, cd to the dir and run chrome-wrapper from your term (as a user):

Code: Select all

$ chrome-wrapper
Il you are under Xfce, chromium will be added to your menu.

Thank you for this truly open source alternative to Google Chrome. Will install and test it ASAP under Fluxbox 13.37 where Firefox seems inappropriately bloated :cool:

But AFAIK it does not support h264 videos in HTML5, which may be a problem.
