Wacom tablet

Hi,
I'm unable to run wacom tablet. I've tried to install "linuxwacom" from:
http://slackbuilds.org/
and from
http://www.slacky.eu
but still not working. I run it in Zenwalk and in Slackware 13 without problems.
I've tried this solution too:
My Wacom tablet took a bit more work, it seems the kernel does not include the linuxwacom kernel module so I has to create the "input" directory under /lib/modules/2.6.29.6-smp/kernel/drivers/usb and copied the linuxwacom kernel module into it after installing the drivers available from linuxwacom. After making the necessary modifications to my xorg.conf and a reboot - voila! My tablet works.

But no result.
Can anybody help me? Thanks.

Are you using th 13.0 RC1? If so please use 13.0.1 instead

All i can tell you about your problem is: If it works in Slackware 13.0 is has to work in Salix, too. We are using the same kernel and the same xorg.
Perhaps something else is missing?
Are you using a xorg.conf?

Try removing file /etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-x11-synaptics.fdi. It was causing some trouble with some touchpads and has been removed from 13.0.1, maybe it's causing similar trouble with wacom tablets.

I've reinstalled the system. It's 13.0.1 now. But the problem remains...
Wacdump find a wacom tablet on: /dev/input/event5 But there wacdump ends. It indicates no movement of stylus.
Has anybody really tried the wacom tablet on Salix OS ? I need your help. I use only tablet, no mouse.
Thanks.

Or this one in English?

Sorry if this is meager but it is difficult to help you in a better way not having a Wacom tablet personnally. But indeed it is very strange that it works on Slackware 13.0 & not in Salix... It will be most useful to eventually find out why.

If it works in slackware, it should work in salix, provided you have the same config files. There might be a package you have installed in slackware, but not in salix, but I don't think so.

The problem is the kernel version. I've an old computer (no dual-core). There is an error message after the boot - usbhid. I'm unable to load a usbhid module. This is why wacdump indicates the wacom tablet but no movement. I've tried to reinstall kernel (huge only) but after I was unable to reinstall my video driver.
Sorry, but I think it's not good idea to have only SMP install version.

So, install whatever kernel you like. Noone stops you. What kernel are you using in slackware? Use the same.
