Let's say you have a piece of strings played at the wrong time.

First install Gaupol.

Check out fps your's film.
In terminal:

Code: Select all

file [film]
For example:

Code: Select all

$ file The.Wonder.Years.S04E01.Growing\ Up.avi
The.Wonder.Years.S04E01.Growing Up.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 640 x 480, ~30 fps, video: DivX 5, audio: MPEG-1 Layer 3 (mono, 44100 Hz)
I have 30fps.

Open subtitle in Gaupol.
From menu Tools -> Convert Framerates and chanege output fps on your value.
In my case: 30fps.
Save you subtitle.
From menu File->Save As and choose format MPsub
You have time synchronization subtitle and film.
Check this clicking on the toolbar preview.

Ok, find bad synchro, check and correct this through shift your text strings:
check bad string and use key 'h' to open menu shift position, write correctly number and save.
Check it with preview that is ok.
